At the 1919 National Convention, all living Founders received the Hera Head honor pin. Founder Anna Allen Smith wrote this letter of appreciation to National President Alta Allen Loud (Beta, Albion College). 

1930s Bertha Deniston Cunningham Scrapbook

Founder Bertha Deniston Cunningham compiled 12 scrapbooks that are part of Alpha Chi Omega's archives collection. This scrapbook includes numerous event programs, handwritten notes by Mrs. Cunningham, newspaper clippings, memories of State Days, and tributes to Past National President Alta Allen Loud (Beta, Albion College).

Anna Allen Smith Hera Head Pin

A gold Hera Head pin honoring Alpha Chi Omega's patron goddess, Hera, was selected for ex-Grand Officers at the 12th National Convention in 1910. Alta Allen Loud received the first one in 1911. In 1919, the four living Founders received one at convention. Any sister who wears one now has served at least one term on the National Council.

1916 Maude Steiner to Officers and Chapters of Alpha Chi Omega Letter

Maude Staiger Steiner (Theta, University of Michigan) announces that the National Council has decided to grant a charter to the local sorority Alpha Theta Sigma at Washington State University.

May 15 James Howe to Mrs. Gilbert L. Van Auken Letter

James Howe, former dean of the DePauw University School of Music and an instrumental figure in the founding of Alpha Chi Omega, writes to Fraternity President Ethel Mead Van Auken (Lambda, Syracuse University) with an update on his professional work, which Alpha Chi Omega helps to subsidize through an endowment. Howe also expresses wonder at the growth of Alpha Chi Omega, particularly the importance of Beta (Albion College) chapter, for whose installation he provided the funds.
